What you'll learn

This online course provides an ideal introduction to coaching in athletics. It includes about 6 hours of video presentations and articles. The course complements the practical courses of the Harare Athletics board, which is conducted by Aaron White.

This course is for you:

  • Novice coaches of Kid's Athletics and /or Youth & Junior athletes

  • Athletes and former athletes, who want to start coaching in the club or the community

  • Parents of athletes who are interested in coaching

  • PE Teachers who want to update their knownledge base.

World Athletics Level II Coach

Aaron White

Aaron White is a holder of a BSc. Honours Degree in Sports Science (Physical Education & Sport), a Sports Medicine diploma and a diploma in advanced sports Administration. Aaron is currently a sports coach at St John's College and a strength and conditioning coach at Harare Athletic Club. He serves as a Vice-Chairperson at Harare Athletic Board. The former marathon runner has set up an athletic club and is the founder of the AMEN Academy Zimbabwe. Besides athletics, he is also active in football as he has set up and developed a youth community-based soccer youth team. He has extensive practical coaching experience coaching athletes who represented Zimbabwe at the Africa Youth Games. In 2016 he lead a team that competed at the John Cooper Meeting in the USA.

Ralf Iwan

During my 25years in the international Sports Management as Head-Coach, Sports Manager, and Sports Director I have nurtured athletes from various countries - from youth age groups to Olympic finals. My mission today is to share my international experience in the sports industry with students at a number of private universities in Berlin / Germany - online, on campus and in special seminars.
